“Yesterday was my first appointment at the practice. When I arrived, I noticed that the receptionist appeared preoccupied with her phone and did not greet me. I initiated the interaction by saying hello and then signed in. During the check-in process, she never asked whether I was there for a scheduled appointment or as a walk-in patient, and there was very little acknowledgment or communication. After taking a seat, I was surprised when, a few minutes later, she called out across the lobby asking for my ID. As a first-time patient, I felt it would have been more professional to gather my information and verify my identification during the check-in process rather than calling attention to me in front of the entire waiting room. In contrast, Meredith, my provider, was excellent. I was very impressed by her professionalism, compassion, and work ethic. She seemed genuinely invested in helping me get my weight back on track and took the time to listen and provide encouragement. Her positive attitude completely changed the tone of my appointment and left me feeling optimistic about my health journey. I look forward to continuing to work with Meredith in the future.”
