Orange Dermatology and Laser Center has proudly been serving this community for over 40 years. Founded in 1985 by Dr. Steven Stanowicz with his sister Stahsha Diaz as office manager, the practice began in Villa Park, CA and later moved to its current location at 1506 E. Chapman Ave in Orange, CA, with a second location at 368 S. Glassell Street serving as a dedicated Mohs Surgery Center. Dr. Steven Stanowicz’s daughter, Dr. Sarah Stanowicz, joined the practice in 2010, sharing the same philosophy of treating both employees and patients as family.
The practice offers comprehensive dermatology care including medical, surgical (Mohs), and cosmetic dermatology, with a focus on individualized treatments in a welcoming and friendly environment. The team is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships based on trust and communication.

“This place is a bait and switch. This provider (Dr Mortazie) is a $15 co pay for my insurance but when I called the office to schedule an appointment they told me he was a surgeon and does not see patients. They booked me with a nurse practitioner, Eva Hernandez. I had a serious issue but she was pretty dismissive of my symptoms. After a few visits they finally let me know what I owed and it was a $50 co pay not $15. I still have my skin issue after 4 appointments and Eva has done nothing to help me except tell me to use more vaseline.”

“I came to Orange Dermatology about 3 years ago, I was depressed about my acne, hence I started looking for a Dermatologist around the area. I read good reviews about Dr. Hsu so I made a point to see her. 3 years later, I can say that I am happy with the result. I don't have acne anymore and skin is 10x better than it was before. I am happy with the results. I recommend Dr. Shu. Also, her nurse is amazing.”

“Doctor offices make me nervous! I asked my friends to recommend a dermatologist that had excellent bedside manner and was okay with a patient that's interested in holistic treatments whenever possible. Thank goodness someone mentioned, Dr. Sarah Stanowicz. The office was clean and busy. The front desk staff were organized and friendly. And let me tell you, the attitude of the front desk can make or break a clinic in my opinion. In this case, they were professional and welcoming. So far so good. When I met Sarah, she was kind, efficient and effective. She heard what my concerns were, what my preferences for treatment were and she offered options that reflected my goals. When it came time to treat me, she explained the process and described what I might feel. I felt respected. I felt safe. I felt confident that I was in good hands. That is one exceptional doctor.”

“Very disappointing! I was looking forward to my appointment to fix my skin!!! I haven’t been to this office in over 5 years! Phone appointment staff are VERY UNORGANIZED!!! 3wks prior to my appt date I provided all my updated demographics . They reached out to an old contact from previous info to state they have my wrong number and address to mail out patient paperwork. I called this office for the 3rd time to give my info just for the clerk to state I owe $90 from a missed appointment 2017?!! If truly my balance which I doubt, why not send it in the mail, email?! Why ask me for all my info if not going to utilize!! Last time I saw Dr. D was 2021! Paid my dues, purchased products! I am not one to miss my appointments!! And why not mention this balance prior to setting appointment. I had to request early clock out just to make it to this appointment!! Waste of time!!!”
