About
Founded in 1971, the Paul Hom Asian Clinic is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, student-run clinic committed to providing free, high-quality primary and specialty healthcare to underserved individuals — regardless of insurance status or background. We strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel safe, respected, and connected to medical care that honors their identity and experiences. Through the generosity and kindness of our undergraduate volunteers, health professional students, and healthcare professionals from UC Davis, Kaiser, and Sutter Health, and more, we are able to offer high-quality, culturally and linguistically sensitive healthcare in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Taishanese, Vietnamese, Hmong, Spanish, Mongolian, and Hindi. Together, we continue to strive to make healthcare accessible for all — and to carry forward our passion to serve. We are three student-run clinics -- PHAC, VN CARES, and HLUB, working together under the Paul Hom Asian Clinic to provide quality healthcare for all.

“I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Everyone is so polite, professional and patient. My parents were treated better than they have ever been treated at any other medical facility. They have been uninsured for two years and today they were able to receive full physical exams, blood work, EKGs and referral to specialists based on their health concerns. This clinic is a life saver for people who are unable to afford insurance, and I’m forever grateful for the students and doctors who are running the clinic.”

“Amazing clinic! Everyone is super friendly with great doctors too! They provide a wide range of primary care services and even cancer screenings on sundays if needed! They have many translators that can help you even if you don't speak english like Hmong, Vietnamese, or Chinese. Don't hesitate to come in :D 10/10 I would highly recommend!”

“There are many Chinese translators here, and the doctors are very patient in listening to your symptoms. Although there are many students who haven't graduated yet studying there, and they also need to consult with the doctors, which takes a bit longer, it's really a great place!”
