The hospital was nice, considering the reason for the visit. The doctors were patient and knowledgeable. The staff was friendly. The nurses, mostly, were great. Always friendly and willing to help as needed, with a positive attitude, especially Kenny, Dirah, and Ellie in the ICU. The only negative was an ICU nurse named Haley. She seemed to show a little too much of an intimate tendency towards male patient, instead of being professional. It would have been a 5 star if she had behaved properly.

Since patient experience has not responded to my three emails I’m reviewing my recent experience at Piedmont Atlanta hospital. I was there from 11/18/2025-11/22/205. My recent hospitalization at Piedmont Atlanta following a 3 level back surgery has been one the worst experiences ever. The surgery went smoothly. The aftercare was not adequate at all. The first night the nurse was attentive somewhat because I was coming off of anesthesia and didn’t require much. I think it was Thursday that I had to ring the bell for assistance and then it took forever for people to respond. One night I was yelling out for someone to come so I could get pain meds because I couldn’t reach the call button. I asked the last to leave it on the bed. Obviously she didn’t do that because I couldn’t find or reach it. Medication was supposed to be given at 8:50 Pm she arrived at 11:14 pm saying she has my medication. My friend called one day to speak with the charge nurse about the lackluster care, she came in once. I don’t remember what she said. I think I felt better by Friday and asked to speak with the manager. I was told she was on vacation and no one was covering her. Then the tech comes in with the contact information for patient experience and within a few minutes someone from “patient experience” came in asking me why didn’t I want the nursing staff to walk me? Which was lie because I didn’t even know that was an option and my frustration was with the lackluster treatment from the nursing staff and medications. I don’t think she really addressed my concerns but she did state that pain medications were PRN. I didn’t know that either but I would think the nursing staff would check on their patients outside of treatment and lab checks. I didn’t have to “ask” for the pain medication any other time. There’s so much more I just can’t write it all. And on top of that the room was not kept too clean and didn’t even flush after me a few times. The last Tech threw the wipes in the toilet. After I already had told here they were not disposable. You wanna know how I know she threw them in the toilet because the last time I struggled to the toilet on my own the toilet was not flush. Your people need to do better. Teara the tech, Jennifer from OT and Clement from PT were great. It was an OT person and respiratory person that found me in distress and helped me. Jennifer really helped me after I had been laying in my urine for an hour. The nursing staff didn’t come or they came later. Even though I could barely walk I was so glad to go home.

My daughter and I had appointments together last week at the Doris Sheen Breast center. I have been going to Piedmont Practically All my life. I was born at the old Piedmont Years ago and just happened to live near Peachtree where the new Hospital is Wlocated. I have watched it grow and grow and every Doctor I have seen over the years have been amazing. I feel very close to each and every Doctor I have seen. Plus the staff has always been superior compared to other Hospitals I have been to. Seriously , our experience at your Breast Center went perfect My daughter was a little nervous but was immediately put at ease at the front desk. She was adorable. In fact all of the check in girls were lovely. We both had a great experience. My nurse was Debbie who could not have been any nicer. She was great ! My daughter also had a sweet nurse who did her exam. Everyone we came in contact with were Very polite and respectful. Dee Glass

Dr. Shore makes you feel most comfortable and relaxed and is very knowledgeable and answers every question thoroughly. It is so pleasant to not feel rushed. And his advice is priceless. I look forward to my next visit!
